Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Information

It is the goal of the CalVet to ensure that its programs, services, buildings, employment opportunities, communications, and work environments are accessible to all individuals, and to comply with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

ADA Coordinators have been appointed at each agency facility to ensure compliance and respond to ADA-related complaints/inquiries pertaining to those facilities. ADA complaints/inquiries regarding a specific CalVet facility should be directed to the ADA Coordinator for that facility.

Complaint forms, procedures and additional information are provided within the links on the left. If you have additional questions, please contact the ADA Coordinator for your respective facility or the ADA Coordinator at Sacramento Headquarters.

Please note- CalVet ADA Coordinators have no authority to respond to inquiries/complaints outside of the Department of Veterans Affairs. CalVet ADA Coordinators have responsibility only for responding to inquiries involving the programs, services, structures, communications, and employment opportunities within the CalVet; and ensuring that the forgoing are accessible to all individuals in accordance with Title II of the ADA.

If you have a complaint/inquiry regarding a public facility, program or service that is not part of the CalVet, you may contact the ADA Coordinator within that city/county, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (www.dfeh.ca.gov) or the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (www.eeoc.gov).
